    Description:<\/b> This one-day short course will explain the basic theory and implications of acquisition, processing, and interpretation as a function of the amount of investment in the data. It covers basic theory and how the technology advanced from the initial gravity and seismic reflection experiments to the modern data and its impact on the overall success in exploration and production in of oil and gas industry as well as water, minerals, geothermal, and recently CCUS. The concepts of Value of Information when determining how much or whether to invest in geophysics is introduced.

    • The short course is limited in size and reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and must be accompanied by full payment.<\/li>\r\n
    • If you do not plan to attend URTeC, a US$35 enrollment fee will be added to the short course fee. This fee may be applied toward registration if you decide to attend URTeC at a later date.<\/li>\r\n
    • A wait list is automatically created if the short course sells out. You will be notified if space becomes available.<\/li>\r\n
    • Refunds for the short course can be made until 11 May. No refunds for the short course can be made after this date.<\/li>\r\n
    • It is recommended that you register before 22 May.
